Get-together with award ceremony, showroom & SION presentation

When the shipping hall is festively decorated and filled with people, it can only mean one thing: an event is taking place. More precisely, the first event since the foundation of Metallbude. The occasion was the conclusion of the Design Contest, which was held in the summer months before. The event not only included the award ceremony, but also an informal get-together with representatives from city administration, business, and content creation.

From June 1st to July 31st, Metallbude called on young designers to get creative and share their visions of modern furniture design. The winning designs were selected from over thirty submissions by an internal company jury consisting of representatives from management and product development.

The design contest was announced in cooperation with Wortmann Future Capital GmbH and their brand Tamaris. The third-place winner Käty Dück was delighted with a Tamaris surprise package worth 150 euros for her ingenious design of a candle holder.Melanie Pauls secured the second place with her design for a delicate spice rack. This was honored with a half-year subscription from Tamaris. Everyone present was particularly excited about the first-place winner and her design.

Because in addition to a 500-euro voucher from Metallbude , the main prize was that the winning design would be produced by Metallbude and included in the range. With the SION wall console, Bärbel Franz from Bavaria was able to win the competition.

The unveiling of the prototype of SION was certainly one of the highlights of the event - for designer Bärbel Franz herself, but also for the approximately 50 invited guests. The unveiling was perfectly staged in the Metallbude showroom amidst much applause and appreciative glances from the audience. On the other hand, the speech by Managing Director Dennis Siemens, who gave a personal review of the Metallbude history on the occasion of the event, provided emotional moments and the occasional laugh. He notably impressed Detmold's Mayor Frank Hilker, who in his speech referred to the previous successes of Metallbude and described this development as "remarkable".

Also remarkable was the exuberant atmosphere and the noticeable interest of those present. Whether during the guided tour through production and shipping or over a glass of wine at the buffet: The conversations and networking significantly enlivened the event and allowed the company to introduce itself to a wider audience - spatially, in terms of content, and above all personally.
