Before there was Metallbude , there were just four friends with a common dream - united by their passion for craftsmanship, their creativity, and an unflagging drive to act. Four young men with big ambitions, who found no room for their realization in their then jobs. Dissatisfaction, as is well known, demands change, so they began to forge concrete plans from naive daydreams. Thus, the dream became reality in 2020 and the once dreamers became entrepreneurs. Their vision - then as now: To produce high-quality furniture in timeless design and at the same time create a space for creativity and individuality. Their material: Metal. For them, the epitome of aesthetics, durability, and sustainability in the art of design. 

We develop, design, and produce our furniture and home accessories ourselves. Thus, design is a central aspect of our work. Our products are characterized by their timeless aesthetics and innovative, functional design. A clear formal language, neutral non-colors, and an open structure create furniture that not only meets current design standards but also addresses individual needs and different style approaches. Our design philosophy corresponds in its core essence to the principle of longevity and is based on the aesthetic and craftsmanship quality of our products.

As producers, we bear a responsibility towards our environment and at the same time have the opportunity to inspire a more conscious lifestyle. Therefore, we design and produce only products that are equally durable in their aesthetics and functionality. A timeless look paired with a clear function is the guiding idea that runs like a red thread through our thinking and processes - from the design to the final product. For us, this primarily means ensuring quality: We work with robust materials, high-quality welds, and easy-care coatings. Our products are mostly handmade and therefore crafted with all senses. This special relationship between people and product is what enables reliable quality in the first place. 

Our understanding of sustainability is based on our design philosophy and the principle of longevity. By providing furniture pieces with enduring material and aesthetic quality, we ensure long-term, conscious satisfaction of needs. The design of tomorrow is not mass production that harms the environment. Our approach therefore aims to avoid overstocks and so-called slow movers. For this purpose, we work with regular inventory checks, inter- and intra-feedback processes, and quantitative evaluations. Packaging is also an area where we can contribute to sustainability: Our products are shipped in FSC®-certified, product-dimensioned boxes and are only equipped with as much filling or protective material as is absolutely necessary for safe shipping and intact condition. 

Metallbude is a team project, because we firmly believe that we as a unit are capable of more than one alone. Our team now consists of almost 40 employees, who with their expertise, passion and curiosity make Metallbude what it is. Over time, we have been able to perfect the idea and implementation of modern furniture design and increasingly meet our quality and sustainability standards. Innovation is also a driving force behind the creation of Metallbude. And in the future, we want to continue to think ahead, rethink and rethink in order to create designs of tomorrow, to continue to create and inspire. And to grow together.
